Northern Outdoors Adventure Resort is the only rafting, snowmobiling lodge in Maine with its own brewery! We launched our brewery in because a few of our river guides were beer fans crafting home brews, and we had the perfect setting for a microbrewery on site. Our handcrafted beers are extra tasty after a day rafting, hiking, ATVing or snowmobiling. Kennebec River brews are only available at the source in The Forks, Maine. Taste the beers here, take brews home in growlers.

We work hard to craft the tastiest ales and lagers in the North Woods. After kegging, they are allowed to condition and carbonate naturally. See how we do it at our microbrewery operations at the Adventure Resort: brewery tour video. Or just come on in. We offer a seasonal selection of seven Kennebec River craft beers on tap. Big Blue Towing Company are a few of our flagship brews. A light-bodied, well-carbonated white ale brewed with Curacao bitter orange peel and coriander spice.

Crafted in the style of the classic Belgian witbiers. A great summer thirst quencher! Our flagship brew. This golden hued ale was the first to be served here in Generous additions of hops towards the end of the brewing process gives this ale a big, unique flavor and aroma.

Natural blueberry flavor is added at kegging for a great fruity aroma! This is a well-carbonated summer favorite with light malt flavor and a nice crisp finish. Made for quenching your thirst on a hot summer day. Our lightest ale brewed with a perfect dose of citrus. Kennebec River Brewing Company incredibly smooth Kennebec River Brewing Company ale with moderate bitterness up front, which gives way to a delightful malty finish.

Brewed using five European malts and three varieties of domestic Northwest hops. Spring, Summer and Fall means post-rafting beer fests and beer games around the Kennebec River Brewery.

We kick Kennebec River Brewing Company the Spring with high water trips on the Dead Riverwith post-trip BBQ cookout on the Comfort Dreams Mattress Company and fresh brews on tap at the bar. All summer long we have cornhole tournaments every Saturday night, DJs, live bands and river guides playing DJ every weekend night, and family games during the week.

The swimming pool is open for volleyball or relax in the giant hot tub with cold one. See our Events Calendar for brewery happenings. Our giant outdoor hot tub aka The Big Dipper is open all winter, just a few steps outside the brewery. Indoors we have an arcade game room, pool table, air hockey, fusbol, and comfy couches by the fire.

Now there are over 80 Maine breweries on the beer trail, from tasting rooms in Portland and Bangor, to destination brewpubs in the woods like us. Cheers, beer fans! We incorporate sustainable business practices into our brewing process because we love the outdoors. Here are a few of the things we do:.

Reduce: We do not use electrically run chillers and compressors to keep our beers cool while fermenting. Reuse: Hot Hughes Shipping Company produced during the process of cooling down the wort during the transfer to fermenters is saved and reused for future brewing cooling processes as well as for cleaning.

Recycle: Office paper, cardboard, plastic wrap, glass and pallets are just some of the many components recycled at the brewery. All are diverted from the landfill. Repurpose: All our spent grains are delivered to a local deer farm for feed. Spent vegetable oil used in fry-olaters at the Kennebec River Brewery is donated to one of our long-time river guides Peter Brown. Peter converts the spent oil into fuel on his homemade biodiesel plant in his garage in Portland. The menu was equally unique and appealing and the food we got was incredible.

Throughout the riverside wooded property there are large cabins, cozy cabins, logdos and lodge rooms to suit all group sizes and budgets. Looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Restaurant Menu. Northbound Pale Ale A slightly hopped up American pale ale, with a sublime malt balance. Penobscot Porter A smooth and creamy elixir with rich roasted flavor. Sledhead Red An incredibly smooth red ale with moderate bitterness up front, which gives way to a delightful malty finish.
