KADC will give these young dancers the opportunity to try and choose which styles of dance they would like to pursue once they are 5 years and older.

Students are introduced to tap through the BATD syllabus and progress to open work at the advanced levels. Tap Dance is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats.

Ponytail or Bun. Contemporary Dance is a fusion of modern, jazz and ballet techniques. In terms of the focus of its technique, contemporary dance tends to combine the strong and controlled legwork of ballet with modern dance's stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristic of modern dance. This type of dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use motion as an artistic form of expression.

Aerial acrobatics has become well-known in the circus performance community and is continuing to grow in popularity. This form of acrobatics is highly challenging in addition to being rewarding at the same time and is commonly seen in the world-famous Cirque du Soleil. In Term 2, Aerialists learn to put together their own performance pieces.

Students are permitted to invite guests to view the final class of the Home Sausage Company Fairfield in our studio while each participant presents their own piece in front of a small audience. Photos and Videos are permitted. KADC recommends tight, fitted long sleeved shirts, leggings, tights etc. Hair should be neatly tied up in a ponytail or a Bun.

With a solid ballet foundation, dancers can transfer their skills into other dance forms to enhance their versatility. Tuesday PM to PM. Beginners are asked to register for Open Jazz as the alternative. Jazz dance technique was designed to rebel against Kaliandrews Dance Company ballet. Jazz dance is energetic and fun, showcasing exaggerated movements, fancy footwork, big leaps and fast turns with an attitude that the dancer conveys to the audience. However, to excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet. KaliAndrews Dance Company offers Jazz dance classes for all ages.

Acrobatic Dance, is both an athletic sport and a performing art which offers a dazzling array of unique skills and personalities to the audience.

Our recreational programs are a perfect spot for students to learn the fundamentals of Acrobatic Dance. Students work on their flexibility and strength before attempting their tricks with experienced, qualified spotters and instructors. Basic tricks such as Splits, Back-bends, Rolls and Cartwheels are introduced immediately after obtaining the proper strength for support. Participants also learn the basic fundamentals of multiple acrobatic balances such as Head, Chest, Elbow and Hand Balances.

Ballet-Pointe - Performance Variations yrs Anne-Marie Laramee Our Performance Pointe class focuses on exploring repertoire from classical and contemporary ballets.

The class focuses on character development, performance quality and variation work. Term 2 includes a performance for our year-end recital. All technique, theory and ankle strength training is taught and trained within the Ballet-Pointe class. Dancers in this class must be well trained and advanced with their pointe work.

Ballet Bun. Tap - Grade 4 to Advanced yrs Erin Chapman Must have a minimum of 4 years previous tap experience. Friday PM to PM. This class focuses on stunting techniques that build on tricks taken from our acro classes which advances them into partnering skills! Students can enjoy a safe training facility as they practice techniques and drills using safety equipment or spotters and then move to mastering movements alone.

This class focuses on tumbling techniques that build on tricks taken from our acro classes which advances them into powerful tricks! Students can enjoy a safe training facility as they practice techniques and drills using safety equipment and then move to mastering movements alone.

Also, excessive flexibility and strength can prove to become extremely valuable in many sports and activities, such as gymnastics, martial arts, dance, hockey and yoga.

This is not a performance based class, therefore the participants have the opportunity to continue their training for the full duration of each term. Note: This class will not run when we have competitive events and choreography sessions, therefore the fee is less than a regular scheduled weekly class.

Dancers will build muscle memory and fine tune their skills for easy execution with these skills. The Montecito Picture Company is not a performance-based class; therefore, the participants have the opportunity to continue their training for the full duration of each term.

Saturday AM to PM. Technique classes are designed to enhance dance techniques with a primary focus on mastering and fully comprehending technical dance elements without choreography. Dancers will build muscle memory and fine tune their skills for easy execution with technical ballet skills.

Students not yet on pointe would require an assessment prior to beginning the class. Dancers with previous pointe experience are permitted to sign up without an assessment.

Dancers will only see this class as an option from their portal if they have been invited to participate. Students must be signed up for an additional Technique class. Sunday AM to AM. This class is open to all Competitive Dancers, even those without Acro experience.

Teachers do not follow a lesson plan in this class as the students are working on an individual basis. Skills are being set by each individual based Kaliandrews Dance Company their needs.

Boys: Black T-Shirt, Black Shorts, Bare Feet This class will not run when we have competitive events and choreography sessions, therefore the fee is less than Jab Holding Company Website regular scheduled weekly class. An instructor will lead the class while teaching proper techniques for all types of balances upside down and upright.
